To add to Fred sawyer's suggestions about London dials, when i was last at the Old Observatory at Greenwich (last spring on a bitterly cold and wet day!!) I could not see any dials there. I asked an attendant/warder and he said they had been taken away, but did not know why. The excellent 'dolphin dial' is though still there, tucked away in a sadwich eating area on the south side of the Royal Naval museum.
