Special to Rolf Menzl

I wrote a little EXCEL4.0 program which draws plain sundials considering the
equation of time. input parameters are:
1. longitude and latitude of the desired location
2. declination and inclination of the sundial
3. length of the perpendicular gnomon
4. dates and times of the point to be printed

If you use this program to draw a horizontal sundial, you will be able to
determine the declination of a wall with an error of approx 1 degree. You can
use such a dial at any time of the day (interesting for Peter Tandy?). The main
problem from my point of view is the exact horizontal level of such a sundial!

The program works fine for me, but to use it you will need a few experience
with
exel. Nevertheless, anybody who has interest shall give me a note, so I can try
to mail or send it to him (I have still some sort of problems with my email
configuration).

For the next four weeks I'm on vacation, so I'll back in June!
