The article "The analemmas of the Planets" (by David A. Harvey, see Woody
Sullivan's mail) is in S&T volume 63, and not 60, (march 1982, pages
237-239).It
is very nice, it shows the differences that you have with other eccentricity &
obliquity then the terrestrial
ones.

When I was searching for this one I found another interesting article at page
16-17 of the same volume (january 1982) about a sundial of the french
republican
periode (18th century, after the french revolution). In that periode France had
changed to a 10-month year, with 10-day week, 10-hour day, 100minute-hour &
100-second minute. On this sundial you have the two graduations, the 24 hour
one, with midday at 12, and the 10 hour one with midday at 5. In the 10 hour
one
you can see the 100 divisions per "hour".
On this dial there also is an analemma, done for the 10 french month (they also
had ather month names).

I must say that it is very strange to see...
