I'd like to add another two nice programs to the list:
ephem and xephem by Elwood C. Downey.

Look at:
http://iraf.noao.edu/~ecdowney
ftp://iraf.noao.edu/contrib/xephem/ephem
http://iraf.noao.edu/~ecdowney/xephem.html

Ephem is an interactive astronomy program for DOS and ANSI terminals.
Xephem is an interactive astronomy program for X Windows (I like that one!!).

Both are available in C source code, ephem also contains a ready compiled
exe file for DOS.
