Hello again!
First let me thank the people who responded so quickly
to my first posting asking for information on ring dials, and
other methods for dialling without a reference to North. Thanks
indeed!
The capuchin's dial is indeed an excellent device,
which I am considering using. But I'm still in the dark
about how a "ring dial" is supposed to work with only one
set of hour lines. Could someone enlighten me?
Other suggestions for sundials which require no
North reference are of course still welcome. Heavy
mathematical calculations are OK.
