I generally include the longitude correction in the sundials I design and
build. The specific design for the location (latitude, longitude and
orientation) is what makes makes the dial special. If you want something
ordinary just go to your local garden shop and buy one of the mass
produced commercial dials. If you want to create something unique make it
specific for the location.

I also like to include other specific design features to reflect the
location. For a remote alpine hut in the Rocky Mountains I carved the
gnomen in the shape of a mountainer's ice axe. Although the design was
unique for this location, it still travelled the world. A couple from St.
Moritz in Switzerland used a picture of this dial in their wedding
invitation.

I would not worry about moving the sundial. Leave it for the new residents
I have left half a dozen dials
at places where I have lived across Canada. Leaving the sundial is
an excellent way of leaving a reminder of my history. Moving to a new
home gives me the opportunity to design and build a new dial.
