Dear friends,

Last year, a relative visited China and bought a Chinese sundial for me (19th
century). It is a universal equinoctial dial. Wood calibrated and marked in
black and red ink. Size: 97 x 46 mm. It has a hinged dial plate, inset compass
and a table of 13 'chhi' for latitudes to set the dial plate, which has a brass
setting strutt and a folding brass gnomon.

A friend of this relative has visited China a few weeks ago and bought another
3 sundials for me, same type. As a collector of different types of sundials, I
would like to trade these sundials. I am especially looking for Arabian and
Asian sundials. Anyone interested? Please let me know, what sundial types you
would like to trade with me.

Regards,

Hans Sassenburg
