Also check http://tycho.usno.navy.mil to get the USNO Master Time Clock to reset your watch or computer. I see no conflict in using sundials to tell real time and atomic master clocks to tell civil time. They just speak different languages. Translation is possible but something is lost in the process. To me it is noon when the sun at its highest altitude and is due south but I don't use this information to catch the noon flight. -- Roger Bailey
