Dear Diallists,

I have just received a newspaper cutting dated 5th December 1996, stating
that the 300-year old sundial outside Mawgan Parish church, The Lizard,
Cornwall has been stolen. It has a brass (now verdigis coated)
octagonal dial plate and a thick solid gnomon with a sigmoidal trailing
edge. It was made by John Worgan.

If anyone sees this dial it would be nice to have it restored to its
correct location. Please contact the police at Helston, Cornwall, England.
