Dear sundials subscribers,

I have been studing sundials, oriented buildings and similar since I was
very young and now an humanistic student has asked my help in a very
interesting research about the linkage of gnomons (meridian lines, noon
markers ecc.) and zoodiacal representations during the Middle Age.
Here in Florence we have a very fine example in the church of S.
Giovanni Battista, something about in a recent article:
http://www.arcetri.astro.it/CDAs/Laregionetoscana/righini_storia.testo
you can read directly, but I don't know anything else. Can You help us?

Thanks in advance and listen something from you as soon as possible.
