The response has been absolutely overwhelming to my posting on the vrml worlds of sundials. The Jaipur Observatoiry world in particluar has seen immense activity.
It all has been improved. All but about 4 of the lowest level models have been condensed, thus the Jaipur world was 712k and is now just 132k. I got the condensed technique reliably working. Cortona seems to be the best web browser plugin and it works in Windows XP as well as on the Apple stuff. Cosmo had issues with the recent browsers, and Octaga worked but did not support the hyperlinks. Built using Parallel Graphics ISB product in its entirety, these worlds are great for educational purposes. And you can play with the free version to checkout how easy it is to do. A lot simpler than my software I used 6 or 7 years ago. Almost all feedback has been incorporated. Try it at: www.illustratingshadows.com/avi-page but install the Cortona browser plug-in first. With these files condensed, they work great even on dial up lines! Enjoy the fun. Simon -
