today pope S. Pio X°, former Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto is celebrating his birthday!
* June 2nd 1835 in Riese, Treviso province; † August 20, 1914 in Rome. He had been pope between 1903 and 1914.
When he had been a young priest he has built several good sundials! Some of them are still preserved and carefully restored. Don’t miss the chance to visit the sundials of a Saint if you are on holiday near Venice!
