I have just put a planispheric astrolabe macro on my web site. It works and I
have tested it, however it is even more of a tool and less of a finished
product than some of the other DeltaCAD macros I put there.
Also, if you have not looked at my DeltaCAD stuff, all of which are tools and
NOT intended to compete with other excellent programs on the BSS/NASS sections,
I might add that quite a lot of my DeltaCAD macros have animation. So you can
see how calendar lines vary with latitude, hour lines similarly, and the
interesting changes to the shepherd dial with latitude, and so on. And shadow
movement also.
The animation in DeltaCAD is not perfect due to probable asynchronous
processing of graphics requests and their action, but none the less they are
interesting and certainly educational. There is a ZIP file with them all in one
bundle.
Illustrating More Shadows is now available on a CD, which also has Illustrating
Shadows, and tons of other stuff. Illustrating More Shadows goes into
programming techniques in as much depth as Illustrating Shadows did on
spreadsheet usage and 3d CAD for empyrical dial design.
