Please kindly note that a new book of the undersigned has been published recently in Canada, by Trafford Publishing (http://www.trafford.com,) in the field of mathematics / history of science / inter-faith dialogue. It is indeed a good material for free / leisure studies of the university students. One can find out how a peculiar spherical ellipse is determined on the planet earth. And it is also useful to those studying sundials since, the symmetrical lay-out of the Taj Mahal had made it a noon-mark monument too, because the geographical west and the direction toward Qiblah therein are the same (there is a mosque in the Taj Mahal Complex). The reason is that this spot is located on a giant spherical ellipse on the planet earth. Stating that the Taj-Mahal monument is a noon-mark dial in essence, since it is oriented according to cardinal points, there in Agra - its symmetrical shadowing at the real noon time inspired me the idea, brought up in my book (the peculiar spherical ellipse on the sphere) - I thought it might be a good idea to convert this giant monument into a sophisticated sundial today, via installing styles on the roof-top corners or else, to be researched by any esteemed organization. If this idea could be followed, there would be a real contest among sundial experts around the world, and if materialized another mystery will be added to this world wonder for the future generations, attracting more and more visitors and tourists to theTaj Mahal. Ideas and dialogue always bring about new ideas. Not only the world wonder , theTaj Mahal monument could be adapted into a genius gargantuan sundial, but this idea is applicable to many other temples / manuments, being oriented and cathedrals and churches also, here and there around the world, since they are also oriented in reference to cardinal points. Even though not being exactly oriented, this concept would also apply to many other monuments, temples, etc. surrounded by enough open spaces. Best regards, Mashallah ali-Ahyaie
