Thank you for the wonderful mix using Google map technology together with
paper and scissors to make sundials.

 

To help Rudolf (and others) on the issue of keeping the style perpendicular
to the dial face, I've added a pair of rectangular (or triangular) "flap
doors" to the base of the style that seem to help (as much as one can with
paper stock). After folding the style and laying it flat against a cutting
surface, simply use an Xacto knife and cut three sides (or two sides if
triangular door) of the door leaving a hinge side running vertical to the
dial face. This action cuts through both layers that form the style. Remount
the dial with the style up in position and push the doors to an open
position. A small piece of tape keeps the open side of the style shut, but
is not necessary for functionality.
