Hi Edley,

Thanks for your information. It's just my luck that the books/magazines that I
was looking at didn't have the "PDF" to click on and download the book. After
sending my last email I did an Internet search and found the following:

http://www.blogsdna.com/1328/download-save-google-book-as-pdf-with-google-book-downloader.htm

I haven't used this yet but it looks good.

Thanks for the pointer to "Google books" and your help,

Roderick Wall.

  Hi Roderick,

When viewing a single page of a full view book on Google Books, just under
the title near the top of the web page, near the right side, there is a down
pointing arrow and the letters pdf. If you left click there, it will start a
download of the pdf version. There is a text download point just to the left
of this, but, since many books have pictures/drawings, the pdf download is
probably better. Instead of the Adobe Reader I use the PDF X-Change viewer,
since it allows annotating, typing in notes and resaving the document. It and a
number of other viewers are available from a number of online freeware sites.

  Enjoy!

  Edley.
