Hello, everybody: I've been using PyEphem which seems to be accurate and fast.
It'll calculate rise, set and transit for the sun, as well as the moon and planets (or any other body given the orbital elements), and provide the body's position as Az/Alt and RA/Dec at rise/transit/set or any other time. It has a bunch of other useful features, as well.
