Hello again;

This nice list has made me aware of many methods of time keeping that have been used through history.

It's a good bet that our current system will change again.

So I wonder what's next?

I suppose that with people around the world chatting on the the internet maybe we will see a cyber time or a virtual time common to the entire earth.

Or I suppose we could end up with a decimal time like we discussed earlier.

However, these would express time as a fraction of one earth day.

I wonder if time has to be based on the rotation of the earth?

Maybe it would make more sense for each of us to get in touch with our own biological circadian clocks and keep time according to those individual rhythms.

Or if I was in charge of the earth, we could all synchronize to my circadian clock.

I don't read science fiction but I wonder if there are any ideas of what time keeping will be like in the future?

thanks again;
brent
