Donald,
In reviewing your site, you should heed David Andersson's advice that
different browsers, especially Internet Explorer, do not all follow all
the published standards. I've learned this from creating and
maintaining www.sundials.org, the website of the North American Sundial
Society.
Firstly, you have a lot of Javascript graphics. You can go to
http://www.w3schools.com/js/default.asp and view results in IE browser,
Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. I recommend that both you and your web
designer review your site in each of these browsers.
Secondly, you might consider using still images for most of what you are
trying to convey. The animations can become a bit annoying. You may
like them immensely, but think about the essence of what you are trying
to convey. Certainly not how clever you are at js. Trying to show them
what the dial looks like? How about some photos of constructed
analemmatic dials on concrete, bitumen, etc. That would probably sell
more plans.
So, welcome to the wonderful world of the web. Adhere to the KISS
principle and you will succeed.
Regards
Bob
