Hi Alexey,
It looks to me like a well-made brass sundial that has been
'butchered' by someone who didn't understand the basic functioning of sundials
in a foolish attempt to make a 'portable' dial. What a shame.

Dear dialists,
Following recent frame about collection of “fake sundials”, I would like to
contribute a funny portable item. The dial itself looks perfect, but it doesn’t
correspond to the base of gnomon, what is obviously seen on the photo.
I can imagine how confusing it should be for average parents to answer their
kid’s question: “How it works?” :-)
The construction still may be used for certain latitudes with gnomon shape
similar to the one I’ve attached with only one reason. If somehow the
manufacture of this souvenir production knows about this small improvement, he
may use it free with minimum technological efforts and proud feeling of
“filling things with sense”.

PS Sundials were bought in the center of London, on Para????(sorry, don’t
remember name of the street) - where weekly market occurs.
