With the growing interest in 'public' sundials, (especially the
interactive Analemmatic type) - I am now intending to set-up a new
business for these in Britain, marketing to Architects/Landscapers
or Parks/private gardens who want 'conversation-piece' features.
I have received 'positive feedback' from several local Councils,
and a few "Tourist Boards" seem to be interested in these as well.
Obviously I shall concentrate on such aspects as the interactive
novelty of becoming "part of your own accurate sundial", plus being
theft/vandal resistant, and not interfering with grass-cutting.
I have already got a manufacturer ("Fosstone" in Yorkshire) to make
'kits', in a coloured reconstituted stone material - and have also
arranged for these to be exhibited at the "Chelsea Flower Show",
next month. Hopefully a very 'prestigious' event like that, will
help to stimulate UK-wide interest in these Human Sundial layouts.
Though my website is not yet available, I have purchased a 'Domain'
name of www.humansundial.co.uk - plus should like to ask for any
hints/tips (or even 'caveats'), about promoting these sundials.
If anyone has advice/suggestions, I would love to hear from them,
so that I can include appropriate information on my website.
