Willy,

When NASS was young I undertook a similar exercise – illustrating how a
prominent obelisk might be used as a gnomon.

Subject: Taipei 101 no gnomon for a sundial

Taipei 101, the second tallest tower in the world is represented on numerous
websites as gnomon of a sundial.
A circular structure in a small park next to the building is designated as a
pattern for the hour lines.

To those who have this nonsense stand on their (Dutch) website or insert on the
Dutch Wikipedia, I made it clear in a drawing on a satellite picture how a
sundial with the building as a gnomon would look like.

I invite you to continue my action in your language area.
