Many thanks to the members of the list that advised me about producing a
Planisphere App for iPad and iPhone.
The resulting “Star Disc” App has now been released, along with 2015 Astronomy
Calendar Apps for iPad only, for US$2.99 each:

While they are not Sun Dial Apps strictly speaking, I made the Sun extra large
with extended sky glow around it, and it’s pretty cool watching it move across
the sky during the day on the Calendar Apps! You can watch the sunset as you do
check your calendar...
