As I may have mentioned once before, just look at the satellite dishes on the houses. They are aimed not far from south. You can get the time that way, too. Maybe even the Australian Aboriginal people do that nowadays. By the way, at a BSS meeting a member once showed a (working) satellite dish to which he had added a sundial. An even better way of telling the time!
