My plea for pictures of reflecting dials that were not ceiling dials seems to have been misunderstood.

I am trying to find flat dials such as are found in Aiello del Friuli. For example, this North facing dial said to be the first in their town in 1999 by Aurelio Pantanali shown here: http://www.ilsoleeiltempo.it/zona1/05pan/2eng.htm

Gianni Ferrari gave a wonderful description of the history of such dials in the Compendium for March 2004 while introducing his computer program for them. In this discussion he said that " In Italy the number of reflection sundials is not known exactly, but it hardly exceeds 20 - 40 while the total number of sundials counted till today are about 14,00."

That could certainly partially explain the lack of responses - there aren't very many. I would expect even fewer outside of Italy. Another reason might be: people do not recognize them.

Here is a clue: they are NOT located where you expect to find a sundial - often on North facing walls!
Of course the other clue is the hour is marked by a spot of light.

By 2013 there were 11 more reflecting wall dials in Aiello, by 10 different authors. The large growth may be explained by the one built there in 1999 and the fact that they have yearly sundial celebrations.

Please help me find others.
