Ciao Fer.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend Fer. I had the honor to
work with him several years ago on topics very beautiful and important
gnomonics, especially on rare Renaissance instruments that indicate the true
temporary hours Ecliptic. His analysis of these tools was critical to
understand how and in what way this time system was introduced by Oronzio
Phineus in the sixteenth. Fer was extremely interested in this topic and always
willing to help in the study of new manuscripts, books and tools that I could
find. A man by the friendliness surprising that united sincere friendship, the
rigor of his scientific thinking, rational directed to the discovery of the
operation of these ancient instruments. I extend an affectionate greeting and
my condolences to his family, knowing that Fer will leave a huge void for his
humanity and his competence. Hello Fer.
