dear Siegfried, the app 47 is thought for a paper sundial, anyway I sent your
message to Riccardo ([email protected]).
May be you found useful an article I wrote for ‘Gnomonica italiana’, the pdf
magazine (www.gnomonicaitaliana.eu), on the new issue of december, it will be
available in these days.
The article is about the 5 platonic solids and the 13 archimedean ones, it
analyzes these solids showing all the dihedral angles and the radius from the
center to the faces, edges and vertices. The article has the purpose to provide
the elements to design polihedral sundials or to use them to realize a scaphen
like the app 41, 42 and 45.
It is divided in two parts, the next on the end of april.

Hi Fabio,
thanks for that info. Great! Is there any way to enlarge this pdf-drawing in
such a way that it may be used as a printout for a real dodecahedron of a
diameter similar to the master sundial in Sicily? (Yes, I am lazy and want to
save time....)
Kind Regards

Hi all
Riccardo Anselmi, an italian gnomonist, uploaded a new paper sundial, the app
47 (www.sundialatlas.eu/atlas.php?app=47), it is a dodecahedron inspired to a
sundial in Palermo, Sicily, IT619.
Enjoy it, ciao Fabio
