I test my small dials in the sun. My small ones are tested with a known
accurate small dial.
good luck

Subject: Paper cubical sundial

Hello!
I've made my first paper template for a cubical sundial, checked the hour lines
on all faces with Orologi Solari, even built a model in Sketchup. All appears
to be perfect until I test it out with my phone's flashlight. The horizontal
and vertical south dial both show the same time, however on the northern dial
and on the eastern and western one time differs by half an hour or more. I got
inspired by this model http://www.stegers.ch/sundial/wuerfel.pdf which
apparently has the same issue. I wonder why. Am I doing something wrong? Any
help will be much appreciated.
