Is there an easy explanation/derivation for the solar-declination lines on a Horizontal-Dial? I mean, easiness comparable to that of the declination-lines for a Polar-Dial or a Tube-Dial (Circumference-Aperature Cylindrical-Equatorial Dial)? . The explanation for the Horizontal-Dial's hour-lines is brief enough, but its declination-lines seem to need a considerably longer explanation. . I ask that because, to offer or suggest a sundial or map-projection, or to set up a sundial for others, I prefer one that's easy to explain.
