OUTLINE PROGRAMME

Welcome and Introduction...

Following custom, I shall introduce Martins Gills who will be serving as
‘host’. He will remind you that the event is being recorded and will note
that most of the time he will set almost everyone to ‘mute’. If, at any
time, you think of a comment please use the *Raise Hand* feature (this is
probably an option in the *Reactions* menu) and we shall try to spot you.
Martins is better at this than I am!

Discussions...

We shall look at the pages of the December *Bulletin.* Several authors will
be joining this Follow-up, some with additional thoughts to share with us.
I am very much hoping that the author of the Lead Article, David Brown,
will be with us to discuss his remarkable restoration of a lectern sundial.

Anyone is most welcome to comment on any of the articles in the December
Bulletin.

*Postscript...*

This time our host, Martins Gills, has kindly agreed to provide the
Postscript. This will add to his article on his sundials in Latvia and will
include some *stunning animations* and time-lapse videos.

*Survey*

If you Google ‘World Sundial Day’ you will see a proposal to hold a World
Sundial Day on the day of the Spring Equinox. You can read more on the NASS
website at:

   https://sundials.org/index.php/teachers-corner/375-world-sundial-day

During the Zoom event you will be asked to give your own thoughts in this
proposal and, perhaps, suggest ways of making it a success. You can, of
course, be less enthusiastic or ignore the survey altogether!

Very best wishes

Frank
