I have had poor results with rdesktop package on the SunRay Companion CD with Solaris 9. The keymappings for any numbers seem to be incorrect. I have not used the package from blastwave.
Rdesktop is EXTREMELY easy to build... 1. Get and install the gcc, make, and openssl packages from www.sunfreeware.com. 2. Make sure /usr/local/bin is in your path. 3.
