I experience a few problems with SRSS 3.0 on a SunFire 880 Solaris 9 system
with the newest recommended patch cluster for Solaris. The system is a NIS+
client.

The first problem is that utdsd did not start up properly and on the console
the message

Starting Sun Ray Data Store daemon .Sun Ray Data Store daemon not started

was logged. I could resolve this problem by moving the utdsd start up to a
later point in the boot sequence, i.e., I renamed S72utds into S88utds. Has
anybody else seen this problem?

The second problem is that after a reboot the clients do not start up because
the directory /tmp/SUNWut/config/xconfig does not exist and therefore the
links to the Xservers files in /etc/dt/config points nowhere. I can manually
get the sunray clients to start by doing an /etc/init.d/utsvc stop and
/opt/SUNWut/sbin/utrestart -c as it is pointed out in the installation manual
for a corrupt Xservers file. Why are these files not generated at system boot?

Regards,

Matthias
