It should be pretty simple, you only need two things to modify
1)your nsswitch.conf (it should have files ldap entries for password and
for all other things that you are getting information from LDAP.next is
Pam.conf, it should have "pam_ladp.so.1", for testing you can put this
line as required under every lne that contains pam_unix_auth.so.1
Finally your sunrayserver should be client of the LDAP  server, if you
are running LDAP server within the box that is running sunray services
then technically you are hosed, because it is not recommended to run
LDAP server and the client on the same machine. However for testing you
can still run clinet on the same box, and tweek your startup scripts so
that your Ldap server is up before your Ldap client. Hope this will help
