That's going to be a tough one for you. Your IT-security department
will probably have a policy against that. If they do offer VPN
tunnels, then you can use a VPN box. I use a SOHO or Cisco 831 VPN
router at home.
The ports you need for 2.x and 3.x are different, Someone from sun
might be able to quickly comment on them. I don't encourage opening
up the ports on the firewall.
I would be happy to let you know the Cisco configuration we use. I
have yet to try the DNS trick (vs dhcp options).
