This is possible in theory, although only because of an 
implementation quirk of the the private Sun Ray Data Store which 
today happens to use LDAP under the hood.  This could change, 
without notice, at any time.

In practice it'd be totally, completely, absolutely, categorically 
110% unsupportable.  A few small things would probably break
immediately but you'd really be in deep trouble at upgrade time.  
Product upgrades in particular would be a nightmare since they 
often introduce schema changes and also depend on access to the
stored data through private mechanisms.
