Hello !
I've encountered a very strange behavior in the following setup:
Solaris 10; SRSS 3.1
The Rays 1g have german PC-keyboards attached. The Rays are connecting to the
Sun server
which starts rdesktop to a Windows 2003 server. The application is critical. As
you know
GINA ist timing out after 120 seconds, the script is restarting.
When doing a cold restart or starting a Ray (power up) I get an english
keyboard layout. I
have a xmodmap statement in the script (i've put the xmodmap statement in the
utstartkiosk script either) but it's ingnored. After 120 seconds the GINA times
out, the
script restarts, i get again the english layout....
Now pressing ESC ( cntrl,alt backspace backspace) resets the Ray and voila, I
have the
German Keyboard layout!!!
And now the absolut strage thing:
After a cold restart (or reboot), pressing a single key in the Windows login screen
(without any other keypress), waiting 120 seconds for the restart, brings ... the German
keyboard layout!
So does anybody can imagine what's going on?
