Hi Christoph
I've seen some scripts internally at Sun that use Nautilus and Gnome to
allow a user to see the contents of their usb sticks. Doesn't use KDE
but I'm sure something similar could be done if the scripts are adapted.
I can't see any reason why the scripts shouldn't be shared with the
list, but let me check. I'll post later this week if I get the 'ok' to
do so.
Regards
Chris

Dear admins,

If I plug the stick into my sunray, the device is automatically mounted,
too. But KDE doesn't notice the new device, which is very unfamiliar to
(linux) KDE users. I wonder if one could achieve a similar behaviour on
both architectures?
Well ... due to the answers I got, I think my question was capable of
being misunderstood. What I really ment:
My linux box is a normal x68 PC running SuSE 10.0 with KDE 3.4.2.
Plugging my usb stick in, I directly get a dialog box asking me how to
proceed.
I want the same behaviour for our Sunray users running KDE 3.4.2. I
think there must be an interaction between utstoraged and KDE, but I
don't know where to search.
Any ideas?
