Have you opened a bug on this? I don't see anything open in the bug database concerning a SAS rendering problem. If there's no bug report then it's practically certain that nobody is trying to reproduce or fix this issue. Mentioning a problem on this mailing list doesn't automatically cause anything to happen inside Sun. It's also unlikely that an engineer will be assigned to investigate the bug unless it can be shown to exist on a supported SRSS platform. We just don't have enough manpower to chase problems that crop up on any random Linux distribution. I see one open bug that mentions large color blocks appearing sometimes under KDE on RHAS.
