That would happen if SRSS thinks that the bge1 subnet is part of your
general-purpose intranet.  Did you use 'utadm -a bge1' to define DHCP
parameters for the bge1 subnet?

Yes!

  If you used 'utadm -A ...' instead
then that would explain why SRSS is confused.  Or perhaps it was
confused by the 'netmasks' nsswitch.conf misconfiguration.

Probably that was it.

 Have you
restarted SRSS and tried 'utadm -L off' since you fixed your
nsswitch.conf?

No, I did a restart just now and it started to work.
