Sun Ray runs only with Xsun on Solaris.  Solaris for x86 (not SPARC)
provides an Xorg-based server that you can choose to run instead of 
Xsun on a real framebuffer but that Xorg server doesn't work for Sun 
Ray.

That's correct.

It's possible that a future release of SRSS might offer a choice of
Xsun or an Xorg-based server on Solaris.  I can't say when that might 
happen.
