Hi everybody,

can somebody shed some light into the different possibilities to access a
Windows
server from a Sunray. As far as I can see there are at least 4 options now:
rdesktop,
Citrix, Sun Secure Global Desktop Software (Tarantella), and now Sun Ray
Connector
for Windows Operating Systems. We know and rdesktop and Citrix and I am
wondering
what the advantages/disadvantages of the various software solutions are. We use
it
as a possibility for our users to access a Windows-2003 Server (desktop) since
some applications are unfortunately not available for Solaris/Sparc (Adobe
Acrobat,
Adobe Illustrator) or not fully functional (StarOffice compared to MS Office).

To me it looks like there is a large overlap in functionality of the 4
solutions so
I am wondering what the real differences are and whether we would be better of
with
one of the other solutions. The only advantage I could see for the Sun Ray
Connector
is access to the USB ports on the Sunray.

Regards,

Matthias
