The Sun Ray audio device might get (b)locked by some other app.
If I enable audio for my TS session through rdesktop or WinConnect, XMMS (or anything else) won't give sound until rdesktop or winconnect stops running.
And of course you can redirect sound both in XMMS and SRSS to internal speaker and/or line-out.

Weird, xmms is working now. Maybe running command line 'mpg123' player
"unblocked" something...
