I had the same problem (which I forgot to include on my list of steps).
In my case I just turned off my firewall.and away I went.

Well, I had not so much luck. I get
bash-3.00# /opt/SUNWuttsc/bin/uttsc 192.168.1.13
Failed to establish smartcard context
Smart card support will not be available.
Unable to open smartcard library.
Segmentation Fault
This is on a Ultra 20 with Solaris 10 01/06 installed. Any idea?
