Hi Theierry,

Looks like the SUNWgl stuff isn't available in the x86 Solaris, just on Sparc.. I'll throw SRSS onto one of my sparc machines and see how that works..

Thanks

Hi,

You need to install OpenGL packages to get the GLX Xserver extension.

application SUNWgldoc Sun OpenGL for Solaris
Documentation and Man Pages
application SUNWgldp Sun OpenGL for Solaris Device
Pipeline Support
application SUNWgldpx Sun OpenGL for Solaris 64-bit
Device Pipeline Support
application SUNWglh Sun OpenGL for Solaris Header Files
application SUNWglrt Sun OpenGL for Solaris Runtime
Libraries
application SUNWglrtu Sun OpenGL for Solaris Platform
Specific Runtime Libs
application SUNWglrtx Sun OpenGL for Solaris 64-bit
Runtime Libraries
application SUNWglsr Sun OpenGL for Solaris Runtime
Generic Software
application SUNWglsrx Sun OpenGL for Solaris 64-bit
Optimized SW Rasterizer
application SUNWglsrz Sun OpenGL for Solaris Optimized
SW Rasterizer

You can check if you have the OpenGL Xserver extension using xdpyinfo.

xdpyinfo | grep GL
   GLX

Hi All,

I'm trying to get Comsol (femlab (whatever)) working on my sunrays, and
I'm running into errors about the Xserver missing the GLX extension. Is
this something that I can do with a Sunray, or am I stuck putting users
on normal desktops for this app? I may end up stuck with desktops
anyways for performance reasons.. but it would be nice to be able to use
the sunrays for basic stuff in this program.

Thanks
