Brad and others, Thanks for your reply... a couple of questions:
1) What does ALP stand for? Please excuse my lack of knowledge. 2) If the SunRay 1G is stateless, other than booting up the device, what exactly does the miniSPARC processor have to be concerned with? Why would that slow things does so much? If I were an educated man, I would guess that the GPU in the DTU would be receiving video frames from the virtual buffer on the server along with some very specific instructions as to what to do with it. I fail to see any significant processing done on the DTU? 3) Is the improvement you speak of in the future a possible re-make of the SRSS X-Server or support for XVideo? Honestly, do you think that will make a huge difference (if any whatsoever) with existing devices?
