Yes, I did the following:

sunray connected to cluster 1: host is sr-blr-01 (type in smisrack)

back_end_db contains:

username=smisrack host=sr-san-01

(Side note, can host be a cname?)

It will use the first IP returned by the naming service.

sunray is switched to sr-san-01 cluster.
My session transfers from active sunray over to new sunray, NO password.

Cluster 2 in san, after I type my password does not require a password.

I suggest you experiment some more. The session you
are connecting into cannot be affected by where the Sun Ray
was previously.

Do you have Non-SmartCard Mobility policy configured?
If so, it should be impossible to go straight into a session,
unless you have a PAM issue of some kind that is immediately
returning PAM_SUCCESS to the utnsclogin service.

Since we're looking at PAM today, can you send your pam.conf
file for the sr-san-01 FOG please? And output of utpolicy.

Thanks,
   Bob
