Sometime ago I needed to disable the screensaver function in CAM mode. I did discover an option about screensaver somewhere in the SRSS configuration files, however that did not seem to work for me. Since CAM sessions get rebuild (optional) everytime, I needed to re-set this everytime. I created a tiny script and added it to /opt/SUNWut/kiosk/utstartkiosk to activate it once the session was on screen. I could imagine this to work for regular users aswell using the '/opt/SUNWut/bin/utaction -i -c' command + params. Maybe it's not persistant, but a solution nontheless. patrick.

The 'xset s' settings are controlled by the actual screen saver, which typically does have persistent configuration settings. I'm not sure how xscreensaver defaults are handled globally. I suggest you query [EMAIL PROTECTED] since this is not really a Sun Ray question... There are lots of JDS experts there who can help. -Bob Patrick Blaas wrote: >You should be able to set screensaver timeout with 'xset s'; defaults to >xset s 600 (10 minutes). >So setting 'xset s 3600' should result in expected behaviour. > >Patrick. > > > > >>-----Original Message----- >>From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >>[mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Marcus Young >>Sent: Thursday, May 25, 2006 1:08 AM >>To: SunRay-Users mailing list >>Subject: [SunRay-Users] SunRay session timeout >> >> >> >>does anyone know if the "timeout" property in >>/etc/opt/SUNWut/auth.props is the property that determines >>the SunRay session screen saver timeout? - or is there >>another parameter that I should change - I have a requirement >>to extend session timeout to 1hr. >>_______________________________________________ >>SunRay-Users mailing list >>[email protected] >>http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users >> >> >> >_______________________________________________ >SunRay-Users mailing list >[email protected] >http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users > > _______________________________________________ SunRay-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users
