Not possible/useful for the following reasons:

Neither RDP nor ICA support the mapping of web camera's
Sun Ray does not have isochronous device support
RDP doesn't support upstream audio

The only way this would be possible is you had a USB over IP hub (Digi makes such a device), which would make the web camera appear to be local to the Windows Terminal Server. You would still have the limitation of RDP not supporting upstream audio.

Hellow Christophe,

I would like that my users use a webcam when they log in Windows via Connector.

What do that want to do - use Skype or some kind of video conferencing or use the webcam to do something like survey the playground and allow teachers to watch over the kids from the another room?

Let us know what you'd like to achieve exactly and we can advise.

I would like use a webcam on a Sun Ray DTU.

I have a School client that would like this, but...
I think it's not possible. Is it true ?

Thanks,

Fabio,

If it is an IP based webcam then it has nothing to do with SRSS or the DTU.

What application are you trying to make use of via this webcam?

If you are trying to use Ekiga/GnomeMeeting, MSN Messenger or Skype then IP based WebCams cannot be used it has to be direct connected. If you just want someone to be able to see what you're doing then you can use an IP based WebCam and simply point them to the IP address of the webcam.

Crhis,
Does SunRay Software and DTU support IP based webcam ?
If yes...
this can solve my problem.

Thanks

Fabio, an alternative is to use an IP based webcam - several people are using this with success.

Fabio,

I am afraid you are out of luck. WebCams require isochronous USB I/O which is currently not supported on SunRay (though personally I really wish it was as this is a feature I also desire!)
