When I tested the scripts, I didn't have any system default printer
defined. Try removing the system default and see what happens.
I'm pretty sure that both rdesktop and uttsc use lp under the hood to
send the print job. So it's possible that something is screwy with lp or
the shell that lp is running in.
Can you confirm that the .printers is getting updated?
Can you send your CAM scripts?
The best troubleshooting tool for CAM is to publish /usr/dt/bin/dtterm
as an application and then run your scripts directly from that shell...
you can then see any strange output and check out the env vars.

Hi,
I have just been trying to implement windows pass through printing as per:
http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/ThinkThin?entry=windows_hot_desk_printing
The ICA Client config is fine, however both the rdesktop and sunary connector
models don't function correclty. It appears that they take /etc/printers.conf
_default rather than $HOME/.printers _default. This means that print
re-direction is not automatically updated when hot desking.
Does anybody have experience with this - and possibly some ideas as to where
things might be going wrong?
