Forgetting about citrix, I have seen a marked improvement on how much
cpu is used with uttsc vs rdesktop.
Connect to pc with rdesktop on sunray then run streaming video with
audio: cpu use was 48%
Connect to pc with uttsc on a sunray then run streaming video with
audio: cpu use was 3%
I would love to see this improvement on Solaris in general if at all
possible, not just sunray.
Thanks,

If you're using Citrix, why is there a need to use uttsc or
rdesktop? You should be running the Solaris/Linux ICA client.
The ICA client could be your common platform.
uttsc will not likely be uncoupled from SRSS. There is a dependency
on the SRDB for storing device CAL's and user printer configuration.

We have users that will normally have a Sun Ray sessions that when
providing on-call support will be VPNing in over Citrix. We also have
several Citrix only users made up of management and "casual" users.
Because of that we need a common RDP platform. Are there any plans to
allow the Windows Connector to run outside of a Sun Ray session? Or
should I just stick with rdesktop?
